Place parts, define a drawing, and specify dimensional limits in the same revision.

Assembly

The current part is grounded at the origin. Place components directly or connect them with driven mates. Rotations use local X, then Y, then Z. Named parameters are supported. Build to check geometry and interference.

Current part · groundedX 0 · Y 0 · Z 0

Up to 8 instances, including the grounded part.

Drawing settings

A3 · front, top and right views from the exact solid. Choose first- or third-angle layout. Curves are approximated for the vector sheet within 0.02 mm. This is separate from your design tolerances.

Tolerance studies

Define a one-dimensional signed sum of local part extents. Nominal sizes come from the built solids. Enter the deviations and required result range for your functional chain; component rotations do not change these local sizes.

Add an assembly component to define a tolerance study.

Worst-case design study. Does not infer contact, cavity dimensions, angular variation or 3D fit. Each study uses its own stated deviations; these do not add drawing annotations or inspection results.

Absolute or driven mate placements, dimensional deviations and linear worst-case tolerance studies. Closed constraint loops, passive motion, GD&T and statistical or 3D tolerance analysis are not yet supported.

Apply settings, then build. Each successful revision retains its own assembly, drawing and tolerances.

Scratch sketch is separate from the CAD document. Add it as a constrained sketch to save and rebuild its graph with the project.

Sketch help

Draw one closed outline from line segments. Add dimensions and geometric constraints, then solve explicitly.

Copy numeric profile creates a separate polygon from the current solved outline; that polygon does not keep constraints. Copied as a new polygon sketch on XY at origin (0, 0, 0).

The stored sketch could not be read. A rectangle example is shown.

Starting coordinates

The solver can move these starting points to satisfy constraints. Its calculated coordinates are shown above.

Outline order

Every segment appears once. Reverse a segment to follow the outline in the opposite direction.
