What is Metal3D.ai?

Metal3D.ai is an RFQ platform for custom metal parts manufactured through supplier fulfillment. Customers upload CAD files, drawings, quantities, materials, finishes, tolerances, inspection requirements, and shipping destinations so engineering can review the manufacturing scope before a quote is issued.

What to Prepare

• 3D CAD files such as STEP, STP, STL, 3MF, IGS, IGES, OBJ, DWG, DXF, PDF, or ZIP.
• 2D drawings when threads, tolerances, cosmetic faces, surface roughness, or inspection reports matter.
• Material, quantity, finish, lead time, destination country, and end-use context.

How Quotes Work

Metal3D.ai uses AI-assisted intake to summarize requirements and flag missing information. Final pricing, lead time, DFM notes, payment links, and production commitments are reviewed by engineering and confirmed with manufacturing partners.
